WRC park cleanup Saturday

The Whiteford Recreation Commission will hold its annual park cleanup day on Saturday, April 20 at the Whiteford Stoneco Community Park.

The WRC annually donates and dedicates its time to cleaning the park and helping get the fields into game shape.

This year’s park cleanup coincides with the first Adopt-A-Road weekend in Monroe County.

The Whiteford Township Parks and Recreation Committee and  Park Manager Doug Donnelly adopted Whiteford Rd. to the west of the park and Sterns Rd. to the north last year as a way to help keep the park and surrounding areas clean.

Parking banned between fields

The Whiteford Township Board would like to remind parents, coaches and anyone attending ball games at Whiteford Stoneco Community Park that parking is prohibited past the parking lot, including in-between the fields and near the storage building.
